Is training required?
Preparation is a good idea. In the months/weeks leading up to the Challenge, participating in activities that support your cardiorespiratory endurance, strength and stamina is encouraged.
Can I opt out of an obstacle?
If you find that even with the support of your team, an obstacle is not doable, you may skip it. There is no penalty. If you feel an obstacle is dangerous, skip it. If an obstacle is just plain hard, remember that the course is designed to challenge our SISU. Dig deep and use your team for help.
Must I register with a team?
The SISU Challenge will be completed in teams of three to five people. You may register solo, tell someone your team name and others can later register by choosing that team name, but there is not an option of signing up solo and being placed on a team. Please coordinate your team. Teams that do not fill up may be combined to meet the 3-5 people requirement.
Will there be event day registration?
To be best prepared for event, you should train in the months before hand, however, same day registration will be allowed, as long as you bring your own 3-5 man team, or there is a 3-4 man team will to accept you. *Only cash or checks will be accepted for same-day registration.

No; shallow water will, however, be implemented in the course.
What about my stuff, won’t it get all dirty?
You will be responsible for any gear you bring into the race area. It may be very busy and it will be very dirty – please plan accordingly.
In the event of rain, will the Challenge be cancelled?
Rain (nor cold, sleet, snow, or wind) won’t keep us away. We will, however, delay/cancel if lightning is present.
